Muskegon County Fall Recycling Event October 12th

Muskegon County Solid Waste and the County DPW collected Household Hazardous Waste and the County Clerk's office and Kent Record Management provided sensitive document shredding, Habitat for Humanity Restore collected non-oil based paint and CM-Rubber helped with re-cycling tires plus Goodwill of West Michigan helped by collecting household items, clothing and electronics.

County residents were lined up before the gates opened and a steady stream was unloaded all day.

Thank you to the many people that helped on what may have been the last beautiful Saturday
in October. A special Thank you to Laketon Township Supervisor Kim Arter who was in charge of the tire collection, Kim is the undisputed Queen of Tires, she has been the organizer behind the spring multi-township tire collection for the past few year and no one knows more about the art of stacking tires in a trailer than Kim.

This is a look at some of the recycling that took place at this event that helped clean up our County.

This was one of the residents using one of the recycling bags they got free from the County Clerk Shredding Day at the County Building, they can ue it over and over.
